Abstract

The objective of this brief is to improve the performance of the OURHOUD association’s procurement process by reducing delays observed throughout the process from the expression of need to the creation of the purchase order. Indeed, these delays prevent the organization from obtaining the various spare parts requested at the right time, as soon as possible. However, the implementation of the DMAIC approach allowed us to first define the problem, to identify its root causes. Then, based on the results of the analysis, propose areas for improvement. The deployment of this approach has made it possible to identify the poor expression of need for spare parts as one of the root causes responsible for the malfunction of this system. To address this, we have proposed a set of solutions.
