dc.description.abstract | Fire incidents pose a significant threat to both urban and wild land environments worldwide. Preventing and combating fires require the employment of effective and safe technologies. Primitive techniques of extinguishing fires usually consisted of manual interventions or using natural resources, which often resulted in limited efficiency and inadequate protection for human firefighters. In this context, the development of an autonomous fire-fighting robot, equipped with the Robot Operating System (ROS) and autonomous navigation systems, offers a solution to minimize the risks faced by firefighters and optimize response times. This project focuses on a fully autonomous system designed to detect and suppress fires, particularly in industrial environments where the fire risk is heightened. | en_US |
