Faced with growing environmental and economic challenges, sustainable development has become a central concern in engineering and information systems. In this context, Sustainable Software Engineering (SSE) emerges as a discipline aiming to design software that is efficient, responsible, and aligned with long-term sustainability goals. This thesis investigates how the integration of SSE principles with engineering methodologies can improve the performance and sustainability of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), a structured framework that guides the planning, implementation, testing, and maintenance of software systems. The study is based on a case project involving the development of an e-commerce platform in Algeria. After analyzing the limitations of the company’s software development processes, including its rigidity and lack of client interaction and sustainability measures, several methods and tools were evaluated using a multi-criteria comparison. Scrum was selected for its adaptability and collaborative structure. A simulation was conducted to predict and assess the impact of this integration on key project indicators such as team velocity, rework hours, technical debt, and customer satisfaction. The results demonstrate that applying Scrum with SSE principles improves responsiveness, quality, and sustainability in software projects.en_US
